We at Friends & Flirts are very happy that Britney has come to her senses and decided to lead an un-Fed-dered life without lifeforce-sucking Kevin.

And we're thrilled about the way she told Mr. Fertility the news, via text message. Hey, when you work in creating online content, you love seeing the technology being put to good use.

Hardly anything can happen these days without somebody catching it on video and uploading it to a Web site -- and this is no exception. Luckily for us (but not Kevin) those of us who enjoy schadenfreude can witness Kevin getting his "Dear John" text message.

Getting dumped by text message seems to be a growing trend. An article in the Washington Post quotes Delly Tamer, chief executive of online wireless retailer LetsTalk.com, as stating, "People in their teens and 20s feel more comfortable using a text message to communicate something serious than having to confront someone."
